Holland-Lincoln, Michigan – In the Community

holland-lincoln-mi-image1-280x210We have enjoyed shopping at Bibles for Missions Thrift Center in Holland for many years. We have made it a regular stop in our weekly schedule. The inventory is constantly changing, the store is cleaned regularly, and the merchandise is organized and displayed well. We have found the Volunteers and staff (managers) are friendly and helpful. We look forward to our stops at the Thrift Center, and we know that they are providing a valuable benefit to our community during our current economic challenges. Thanks for the service! – Randy and Brenda

Holland-Lincoln, Michigan – In Mexico

– Church planters Ruth and Heriberto have many obstacles to overcome in their efforts to deliver the Good News to the people of Oaxaca, like the Zapotec and Mixtec people. But with God’s strength and Bibles you helped provide, they are able to effectively overcome every hurdle to spread the Gospel to those who need it so desperately. Eleven year-old Luis is so thankful for the work of these church planters. “God saved my father from addiction and my mother from sickness,” he says. “Now we follow God and I am the Lord’s servant.” Thank you for your prayers and support.

Holland-Lincoln, Michigan – In the Center

holland-lincoln-mi-image3-280x210I have been volunteering at our Bibles for Missions Thrift Center for about fourteen years. I was asked by a friend to take her place as she was ill at the time. There’s a word I hear around here all the time. That word is “amazing.” We say, “amazing!” as we look at the board to see how much money the store takes in daily. It is “amazing” the amount of donations brought in every day. It is “amazing” to see people sorting clothes, books, and magazines. Others are cleaning and repairing donations while others are keeping the store neat and clean. Others are recycling items to keep them out of the dumpster. As we work alongside our fellow workers, friendships and bonding takes place. We appreciate our new found friendships. Through it all God is working. He takes the end product and uses it to provide His Word in Mexico, His “amazing” grace and love to others who have never heard. “Amazing” isn’t it? – Muriel
