Kentwood, Michigan – In the Community

We decided to keep the word “Upscale” in the name of this store because we have a loyal following that has continued with our transition to a Bibles For Missions Thrift Center.  We have made some changes to the store by adding a “children’s” boutique section, as well as a “men’s” boutique section.  We have also found some very talented volunteers that are going to help with selling our vintage, unique items on a few different websites that we believe will in turn bring in more traffic to the store.  Overall, I really didn’t know what this adventure would look like at the very beginning. However, I am genuinely appreciative of the friendships and relationships that I have come to have in seeing God work in all of our lives! -Brandie

Kentwood, Michigan – In Mexico

Church planters Ruth and Heriberto have many obstacles to overcome in their efforts to deliver the Good News to the people of Oaxaca, like the Zapotec and Mixtec people. But with God’s strength and Bibles you helped provide, they are able to effectively overcome every hurdle to spread the Gospel to those who need it so desperately. Eleven year-old Luis is so thankful for the work of these church planters. “God saved my father from addiction and my mother from sickness,” he says. “Now we follow God and I am the Lord’s servant.” Thank you for your prayers and support.

Kentwood, Michigan – In the Center

While out riding my bike one afternoon, I came across the Bibles for Missions Thrift Center and decided to stop in. Well, the warm welcome I received upon entering the building made me feel right at home. I really wasn’t looking for any particular item, just a quick look around, and in doing so, I found some really great deals. I knew right then and there that I would become a regular customer. While talking with the ladies at the checkout counter, I also found out that they all volunteer and accept donations to help provide Bibles for Mexico. So right here in my own community, I found the best place in town to shop. The Thrift Center had everything I could imagine, great prices, a warm friendly group of volunteers to greet me every day with a wide variety of items to choose from and a great cause – Bibles! So this is why I shop at the Bibles for Missions Thrift Center. – Dorothy
