Volunteer Positions Available In:
Chicagoland/NW Indiana - Support thrift centers
in Orland Park, IL and Highland, IN and seek out opportunities to start new
centers.
Western MI - Supports centers in Holland, Grand
Rapids, Jenison, and Battle Creek and seek out opportunities to start new
centers.
Responsibilities:
Develop continuous recruiting program as outlined in manual
Set recruitment goals and monitor monthly
Work with Bibles for Missions Thrift Center’s President
to schedule major group presentations
Use key contact persons in local churches to obtain names of possible volunteers
and ask everyone who is contacted for referrals
Personally interview all possible volunteers
Develop plans for other “new” sources for volunteers
Introduce new volunteers to the ministry of the Thrift Center and assist new
volunteers in their assimilation into the thrift center
Coordinate newsletter and other forms of volunteer coordination
Qualifications:
Have a heart and passion for lost souls and believe in
the importance and power of God’s Word. Have a personal relationship
with Christ
Have the ability to invest a committed amount of time in achieving the objective
of identifying and getting as many volunteers as possible
Have a persuasive personality without being overbearing
Possess the ability to speak one on one and to small-medium size groups
Training:
Work closely with the Bibles for Missions Thrift Center President to develop,
implement, and monitor a volunteer recruitment plan
Use materials contained in the thrift center manual and other outside resources
Become familiar with the Bible League ministry and materials
Reports to: President of Bible for Missions Thrift Center
